Hypnotize Yourself For Anaesthesia: Your 10 Step Guide

There was a superb television delight on here in the UK entitled ‘Hypno-Surgery’ recently and it showed a man receiving hypno-surgery. That is, he had a hernia operation without any anaesthesia other than by using hypnosis.

Of course, it is a sensation because it is on television, however, these have been done for years. There are lots of filmed studies and masses of research that has been done using hypnosis alone when performing surgery.

Many ways have been used to alleviate pain over the years and I have experienced many myself and found hypnosis accompanied with a range of mind skills and tools to be by far the best way of overcoming and altering my response to it.

Can you remember a time when you had a paper cut and you did not realise that you had it until later on that day when you saw it with your own eyes? It was not until you saw it that it hurt and thought ‘oooh that smarts a bit.’ This is naturally occurring anaesthesia, the capacity which exists within us all.

One of the most basic methods for using your mind to create anaesthesia is called the glove anaesthesia method and today I want to share it with you for you to use as and when you like.

Important point here : You must only use this pain-control technique when you know the cause of any pain. Please also consult a doctor if the condition persists. Otherwise, use this technique for fun and to remind you of how amazing you and your brain really are.

Step One: Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. Close your eyes. Get yourself relaxed.Focus on your breathing, let it be steady, deep and slow. Imagine relaxing all the muscles in your body one by one and really do take the time required to establish a nice relaxed physical state.

Use your imagination to imagine a favourite place, somewhere you feel safe and relaxed. Imagine that you can hear the sounds of that place, see the sights, feel the feelings that you would feel in that place. Use your conscious mind’s awareness and focus on each of the muscles in your body and think the word "soften" into each of your muscles. Imagine them melting, softening and allow your mind to be peaceful.

Take a good few minutes to do this; indulge yourself.

Step Two: Develop a strong sense of purpose right now. Using your internal dialogue, remind yourself and tell yourself that you have the power and ability to be in control of any sensations in your body and mind. Because you really do. Tell yourself that You accept that you are in control of your own mind. Focus on and imagine the unlimited power of your mind, tell yourself that you can send numbing sensations into any part of your body. Develop a sense of belief in yourself and in the power of your own mind. Really encourage and empower yourself.

Imagine that these words of personal power and belief that you say to yourself are being delivered to the deepest depths of your mind. Imagine that they’ve been accepted on every level of your body and mind.

At this stage, also tell yourself that the word "anaesthesia" is your key trigger word for a conditioned response later on.

Step three: Now we begin to invoke the glove anaesthesia. Begin by concentrating upon your dominant hand, really focus on it to the exclusion of all else. Notice the tiniest of sensations within it. Begin to imagine that using your attention, your dominant hand is free of all feeling. This needs some time and concentration.

Maybe you can use your imagination to imagine that your hand is encased in ice. Truly imagine those feelings.

Separate your hand, in your mind, from the rest of your physical body. Think of it as detached from your physical being. Continue to focus your attention upon your hand and allow it to lose all feeling.

Using your internal dialogue again, tell yourself that your hand is becoming numb. No feeling at all. Inside your mind instruct your hand to go to sleep. Tell it to go to sleep. Be aware of all the unusual sensations that are in your hand as you focus upon it and keep all your focus and concentration upon it.

Tell yourself that every breath you take seems to cause your hand to become number, and number, until you just can’t feel your hand at all. You just can’t feel your hand at all because it is numb. No feeling. Numb. Tell yourself that with authority and belief.

Step Five: Now, you’re going to transfer this lack of feeling to the part of your body that you desire to feel numb and have the anaesthesia in. So when you are sure that you have created the correct level of numbness in your hand you’re going to raise your hand and place it upon the part of your body you want to feel numb.

When you do this, you’ll transfer this numbness to that part of your body. So then go ahead and raise your hand and touch the part of your body you want to become cool and numb. Maybe imagine the numbness as a colour that you are spreading into that area. Maybe imagine that part of your body being filled with that colour and creating that numbness. Imagine all the sensations of numbness are being transferred into that part of your body. Release the numbness into that other part of your body.

Then spend some moments doing that properly and thoroughly now. As you do it, give yourself a time limit that this is going to last for. Naturally, you do not want that part of you to be numb forever. So make sure that you set yourself a time limit when your self-induced anaesthesia will end.

Step Six: Now that you have transferred the calming, soothing, numbing coolness, and you’re physically feeling better and better in that area. Really enjoy the sensations and marvel at your own amazing self. Imagine coolness permeates the area. Imagine you experience wonderful relief in that area. Breathe deeply and relax completely.

Maybe even repeat a little mantra of support to your self at this point: "Calm, cool, soothing, numbing sensations permeates the area. Better and better. Numbness. Relief. Numbness.’ Use words that appeal to you the most.

Step Seven: When you have maintained the state and are sure that you feel really good. Say the word "anaesthesia" to yourself, so that each time you use this word in future occasions, when you have the right intention and conditions to do this again, saying the word will bring the resources of this session to make next time even better. Breathe deeply, embrace the sensations in your body and mind and repeat the word to yourself. Trust that each time you choose to use it in the future, it has a wonderful effect of enhancing and amplifying your control over your anaesthesia.

Step Eight: And it’s time to focus the incredible power of your imagination by imagining yourself doing this even better next time. Imagine that you feel more and more in control of your own mind each time you do this. Experience the joy in this realisation. Create every detail of this future occasion in your mind, including your reaction and the reactions of others. And in so doing you communicate your desire to the levels of mind that will assist you in manifesting this natural anaesthesia better and better each time you do it. Each time you use that word when practising your anaesthesia, tell yourself it works more and more profoundly and powerfully.

Imagine yourself really feeling good about this and what you can do with the power of your own mind.

Spend a few moments quietly doing this.

Step Nine: When you have fully absorbed all you can from this wonderful experience, open your eyes and remember all that has been communicated.

Step Ten: Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice, the better and more thorough it is.

You may want to practice doing this on your arm. Prior to doing it, pinch your arm until it hurts to gauge what your pain tolerance level is in that arm. Then when you have it anaesthetised, test how different the sensations are.

Burn Fat Not oil     I’m soooo sick and tired of miracle diet bull!

I work at Fitness-Programs-Review where we test fitness programs to find the fitness programs that ACTUALLY WORK.
So I went on a personal mission to find SOMEONE who can tell me for a FACT what works and what doesn’t when it comes to losing fat, gaining muscle and feeling and looking GREAT.
There are so many people out there who CLAIM they can do this……and almost none who can back up what they say.

Anxiety     Most of us experience stress at times in our lives and often this is a perfectly healthy reaction to external factors such as having a new job or moving house. Sometimes, there are no major events going on in your life, you are just very busy and have begun to notice that you feel anxious more often or there have been some changes in bodily sensations such as an increased heart rate or shoulder tension.

      I am a hypnotherapist, Herts and when clients present at my hypnotherapy practice in Hertfordshire, stressed out, one of the first things we do is to take a look at their routine. Usually we find that the client has little or no time built into their routine to relax. Commonly clients that are feeling stressed, will report that even when they try to sit down and relax they find this incredibly difficult and only feel comfortable when doing something. Often the time set aside to chill out, gets pushed aside and housework or some other chore takes over. When you are used to rushing around it can be really hard to switch off and change pace. This is where hypnotherapy, Herts, can help you ensure you experience a specific period of regular ring-fenced time out. In this article, I will provide tips for self-hypnosis, a valuable relaxation tool.

      Self-hypnosis is easy to learn and can really make a difference to your quality of life. The benefits of a good hypnosis relaxation session roll over into your everyday life and you could find yourself feeling much calmer generally. Heres how you do it:

1. Find somewhere comfortable to relax and sit or lay down, ensuring that your arms and legs are uncrossed and relaxed.

Meditating2. Begin to focus on your breathing, taking relaxing deep breaths in and slowly releasing. As you are breathing in, imagine to yourself that you are drawing in positive resources and as you breath out you are releasing any tension and worries. Sometimes, if you tune in to the sound of your breath in and breath out, this can help you to get relaxed.

3. You may want to close your eyes now or before this, either way is fine. The next step is to get your body to relax. This is important as we know that you cant have a relaxed body and an anxious mind at the same time. There are various body relaxation techniques to try. One that I like, is to imagine a small ball of warm light (perhaps it’s the sun) hovering just in front of your forehead. You can then guide this warm light, around your body from your head to the tips of your toes, imagine how it massages, soothes and releases tension in each body part, down to every tiny cell as it moves. The more specific you are the more relaxed you will become. For example, imagine how even your finger nails become more relaxed. If you find that any worries pop into your mind during throughout your relaxation time, just acknowledge them and then let them float away.

4. Next you can imagine yourself at the top of ten steps. You may already have planned what will greet you at the bottom of the steps. Make sure its somewhere lovely that you will become so relaxed just by being there. Take your time to move down each step in your imagination. For each step, say a positive statement to yourself, such as I am becoming so deeply relaxed now. Use your imagination to make this experience as vivid as possible. Fully engage your five senses.

Imaginary Staircase5. Once you reach the bottom step, you can spend time just relaxing in your chosen place in your imagination. Perhaps it may be a lovely garden, a forest or a beautiful beach. Again use your senses to fully appreciate the sounds, feelings, smells and sights unique to your chosen place.

6.Finally, once your have relaxed for your chosen period of time, or you feel good and want to go about your day, reverse the process, imagine yourself walking back up each step, becoming more alert and awake, with each step, telling yourself you will be ready to open your eyes and go on with your day, feeling great, when you reach the top step.

      That is how simple self-hypnosis is and with practice you can really let your imagination run wild, and try different relaxation methods to see what works for you. Sometimes it can be useful to visit a hypnotherapist for a few sessions first to developing an understanding of what the hypnotic experience feels like and to discuss how you can begin to develop your self-hypnosis skills.

Underground Hypnosis Conversational hypnosis is a powerful tool that can greatly increase an individual’s influence over others. The goal of conversational hypnosis is to communicate with the subconscious mind of another without their knowledge. Doing so will allow you to implement feelings and thoughts into their mind. By using subtle inflections and careful wording, it is possible to rally others to a cause, turn others away from a potentially harmful person or situation, or make others more likely to agree.

      When attempting conversational hypnosis, remember to keep an open mind. Doubt and uncertainty can affect your demeanor and tone negatively, causing the subject to be less likely to be hypnotized. Accept and agree with anything the subject may say. Disagreements cause rifts that can ruin the hypnosis process. The subject needs to feel completely comfortable and at ease while being hypnotized. Try to be soft spoken, refrain from being presumptuous, and always remain interested and involved in what the subject is saying.

      Speak as naturally as possible. Try to word sentences as if talking to a close friend or relative. Technical terms can break the effect by causing the subject’s mind to wander away from the conversation. Don’t lie or say things you don’t agree with. Some people can sense the change in tone or phrasing this can cause. Agree with people, but not to extremes. Flattery can play a key role in conversational hypnosis but using it too much will make people suspicious.

      Listen as closely as possible to what the subject says. You will have to know exactly what they mean and want by what they say. Words, inflections, or facial expressions can be vital clues to further hypnotizing the subject. Restating information the subject tells you is another way to solidify their trust, and their openness to being influenced.

      Every morning when waking up, know what you’re goal is for the day. Part of being a successful conversational hypnotist is knowing without a doubt that you can and will succeed. Face yourself in the mirror and tell yourself what you are and what you’re going to do. Try phrases like, "I will sell my product today." or something similar, depending on what your goal is.

      Delicately sprinkle your desires into the conversation. Casually mention what you hope to gain with the same tone and phrasing you’ve used the entire conversation. Coming across too forcefully will cause the subject to become defensive. Don’t use the subject’s name or your own name in these commands. This makes the subject feel pressured and can cause rejection.

HypnosisHypnosis cannot make an individual do something they don’t want to do. The goal is to nudge them in the direction of your choosing. From a salesman’s standpoint, the subject will already want to buy something, but the salesman may use conversational hypnosis to nudge them to buying a more expensive model, or concrete the purchase to begin with. Someone may use conversational hypnosis to convince a friend or relative to leave an abusive partner, or to help them solve minor fears such as stage fright. However, with this power comes responsibility. Conversational hypnosis should never be used to convince to others to perform dangerous or illegal acts.

Conversational Hypnosis       Conversational Hypnosis is an art that takes a certain set of skills in order to master. These skills are quite attainable when the correct instruction and study of hypnosis has been focused on.

      Conversational hypnosis is the practice of inducing hypnotic trances through the focused skills learned in language, speech and suggestion. The primary objective is to induce a trance in order to accomplish a motivated outcome or reach a specific purpose; for example ease emotional pain, enhance health, and lead a happier life.

      The skills most required of you as the hypnotist are to master a signal recognition system, develop a relationship with your subject beyond rapport, learn the foundations of hypnotic language and advanced hypnotic language, develop authority strategies, recognize emotional triggers, destroy resistance as well as become skilled in conversational induction, conversational trance formulas and advanced frame control.

      All of these skills will help you attain the highest level of success in conversational hypnosis and achieve a better life for your subjects as well as for yourself.

      Signal recognition systems are the foundation in hypnosis training from which you will start to see when a subject is entering a hypnotic trance. These skills will aide you in opening your senses to the signs given by your subject when becoming hypnotized.

      This can be considered an abnormal or skewed relationship in that the subject allows you into their world and will follow your lead through the conversations, language and suggestions you give to them. This is a very powerful and unique connection.

      Conversational hypnosis is just that, there is an art to the language you as the hypnotist need to master. Part of this skill is found in hypnotic language foundation and advanced hypnotic language. The main idea is that conversational hypnosis is attained through language.

       You need to learn how to shape the conversation you are having with your subject in a way that makes the words you speak themselves hypnotic, causing your subjects mind to set off into hypnotic state that responds to you in hypnotic ways. This skill should get strong focus from you as you master hypnosis techniques.

       Emotional triggers are the way to your subjects unconscious responses, once you learn to control emotional triggers you will have the power to control the pictures and feelings that govern a subjects mind and ultimately change their life.
 
       This skill will give you access to pictures and feelings from within your subjects mind. As you perfect this skill you will be able to be able to alter feelings that lead to a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life for your subject. This will aide in your objective to create rewarding and wonderful happiness for those who attain your services.

        In conversational hypnosis there is often resistance and this brings us to the next fundamental skill you will need to acquire. How you as the hypnotist will destroy this resistance, the most popular way being through the telling of stories.

       Destroying resistance through story telling involves you becoming the story teller to bypass the minds usual filtering systems that tell a person, "this is not right", or "this cant be happening". Once you have mastered story telling that will create a hypnotic trance you will be allowed into your subjects mind to place new ideas, perceptions and thoughts dealing with their lives and how they ultimately live them.

       Conversational hypnosis will require you to also learn how to deal directly with the unconscious mind; this is done through conversational inductions. This concept is a way to formulate how to induce a trance through conversation, the real core of conversational hypnosis.

       Conversational induction will provide you with the skill of moving from normal speech into a conversational hypnotic induction with ease. In doing this you will then be dealing directly with the unconscious mind of your subject which is what your job as a hypnotist is ultimately all about.

       This technique will teach you to mold conversation that sounds completely ordinary to others into something much more intense for you and your subject; this in itself will take a grand amount of understanding and skill.

       Conversational trance formulas are paramount in the art of hypnosis. These are formulas that will get you exactly where and what you want from your subject. Getting your subject into a trance come very easily to you but then where do you go from there, this is where conversational trance formulas are required.

      The formulas consist of the P-CAT formula, which is used for personal change in a subject. This is handy for those rough days, bad times in relationships and even when ending a relationship.

       The COMILA formula is used mainly for persuading and influencing people. This formula is helpful to people in their professions such as influencing an individual to want to learn, sales, education, management as well as for general inspiration.

      Next in the list of helpful formulas is the LIFE checklist. This is a checklist developed to help you know you are actually engaged in a hypnotic conversation. The LIFE check list consists of four steps that will help you identify quickly and efficiently that hypnosis is underway.

      Conversational hypnosis will also require you to master such techniques as "future memories" and "stacking realities". Future memories are memories you place in your hypnotized subjects mind that have not taken place yet.

      The goal is that they will become memories as the subjects unconscious brings them to their conscious mind as events that have already happened. The art in this is to make the future memory so compelling that the unconscious mind will want the memory to have happened and eventually follow your suggestion to make the memory a real instance that has happened in the past.

      "Stacking realities" and "accidental trance identification" are other techniques that help hypnotists to slip past the resistance and interference within a subjects mind that prevent hypnosis.

      Advanced frame control will also be paramount to master. This is the art of leading all your hypnotic interactions in the direction you desire. Without this skill you will not be able to control the direction of conversation, hampering your goal of creating a more peaceful, happy, healthy mindset for your subjects. All of these strategies, once mastered, will help you in the ease of your conversational hypnosis.

     There are many exciting and great skills involved in becoming a successful conversational hypnotist, while this information may seem overwhelming at first it is just a taste of the powerful skills that you will enjoy perfecting as you assume your role as a hypnotist.

hypnosis procedure      Probably one of the easiest ways to hypnotize yourself is to lie down, relax and "think" through the hypnosis procedure outlined below.

     Sit or lie down. It doesn’t matter which so long as you’re comfortable. It should be somewhere you’re not likely to be disturbed and obviously you shouldn’t be doing anything that needs you to concentrate, such as driving or operating machinery. Turn your mobile phone off or set it to silent.

      Take a few long, deep breaths. Fill your lungs completely, but don’t make yourself uncomfortable in the process. Then hold your breath for a second or so if it’s comfortable for you to do this. Finally, slowly breathe out until your lungs are empty. Repeat this process a few times and allow your eyes to close when it feels right for them to do so.

      Once you’ve become relaxed, deepen your hypnotic state by counting backwards slowly from 10 down to 1. As you count backwards, visualize yourself stepping down a step in a flight of stairs. And tell yourself that with each step, you’re dropping deeper into your hypnotic trance. By the time you reach the final step, you’ll be in a deep, deep trance and you can then start to address the issue you want to work on.

      The issue you work on whilst you’re in hypnosis can be anything you like. It could be a deep rooted fear, some kind of worry, a lack of confidence or any other area of your life that you want to work on. Or you could just use the hypnosis session to relax and maybe explore a forest or a beach or even another planet. Your imagination is the only limiting factor here!

      If you’re tackling an issue, the easiest way is to use something called "future pacing". All this means is that your subconscious will find it easier to believe something that’s in the future as it doesn’t contradict what you already know. So if you want to lose weight, you’d visualize yourself in three months time and see the new, slimmer you.

      Make sure that anything you tell yourself is positive. Our minds don’t work well with negatives, so it pays to avoid them in the different things you tell yourself. It pays to work out what you’re going to tell yourself before you enter your hypnotic trance - read it a few times so that you begin to memorize the words. Don’t worry if you’re not word perfect so long as you get across the meaning of what you’re working on.

      Repeat these affirmations a few times so that your subconscious gets the hang of them.

      If you can add pictures or sounds or smells to the process, that’s even better. Our minds can’t tell the difference between something that’s real and something that’s vividly imagined. If you don’t believe me on this, think back to when you last jumped out of your seat or started crying when you watched a movie.

      Then it’s simply a matter of bringing yourself back out of your hypnotic trance. Count forwards from 1 through to 10, allowing yourself to stretch and feel more awake as the numbers get higher. Allow your eyes to open at the end of the counting sequence if they haven’t opened as you are counting up.

Ingraved Negative Thoughts     If you look back at your life, you will notice that you might have gotten a lot of negative thoughts ingrained into you, whether they were your well-meaning parents, peers, strangers and even the television or newspapers.

      Think about it, how you do you feel when you hear your parents telling you to just find a job and be content with what you have? Or your friends telling you that the girl you like is way out of your league? So how do we counter this seemingly endless onslaught of negative thoughts? One way is to introduce positive thoughts to counter it. We are able to do this using hypnosis.

     Why hypnosis? Well, according to scientists and people who have researched this field, it turns out that putting people in a suggestive state where their conscious mind is almost absent, helps to introduce thoughts and beliefs into the subconscious mind which may otherwise be rejected by the conscious mind if it was awake. If you think about it, all your negative thoughts were, in a way, hypnotized into you by daily repetition.

     It is not that simple however. One reason why a lot of people who tried to use hypnosis to install positive thoughts into them and had limited results is that they have not removed the negative thoughts from their subconscious mind.


     By introducing positive thoughts into the mind without clearing out the old negative ones first, it creates a tension and conflict between the 2 opposites. The person will feel pulled in 2 directions when they try to impllement their goals and plans. Well this is better than just being negative, using hypnosis to first clear out negative thoughts is a much better method. This paves way for future positive thoughts to be installed much easier and without conflict.
